    Default Humidification Device

I'm new to the cigar thing, but I am learning fast and loving it! My question is about the small, hockey puck like humidification devices that come with most humidors. How often should I re-dip it? For that matter, can it be re-dipped? I have been using my humidor (clear sealed plastic jar that holds 25) for about a month now. I have noticed recently that my cigars are feeling drier. Could it be the humidity is leveling out on its own?

It's pretty much impossible to answer your question. If your humidor is located in a room where the relative humidity is never lower than 60% and never higher than 65% the answer to your question is "never." If your humidor is located in a room where the relative humidity is 10% then you probably should "dip" it about every other day.

You should have a hygrometer in your humidor that tells you what the humidity is in your humidor.

Bill...Could you define "dip". The act of dipping a puck evades me.

Got it. Hygrometer on the way. By the way, dipping a puck is...never mind.
