Just another day at the office!
First off, Hi and welcome to the board from Alberta, Canada.
The above actually answers a couple of your questions if you're paying attention.
I suspect Roger is recommending a coolerador because if you're enjoying cigars this much as a newbie, chances are you'll find a 50 to 100 count humidor just won't cut the mustard in a very short period of time. It's funny how quickly you can outgrow a small humidor once you get into cigars.........LOL
I recommend doing a newbie sampler with one of the established members who are participating in them here on this board. Again, search is your friend.

I wanna say thanks to everyone for the advice and suggestions. As of right now I do not have the room for the kind of humidor I want, so I plan to start off small with a decent 50-100 ct that I will enjoy. I have noticed some slight differences in blends and tastes. Right now I have put myself on a mission to find my cigar of choice. I have smoked some that were unbelievable and others that were just ok. I have alot to learn when it comes to taste, blend, make, brand, etc.
I'm going to third the coolidor suggestion. It can be used to store most cigars, especially boxes, tucked away pretty much anywhere. Then, a nice, smaller humidor can hold more immediate smokes.
Anyhow, I think a desktop humidor is a good idea, just don't be surprised how quickly that coolidor is needed.
As for the actual cigars, try a bunch from different countries, with different wrappers, etc. and you'll start to figure out what you like.
Oh and welcome from Western Oregon.
Latest smokes:
Cigar: 5/19: Nub Connecticut 464T
Pipe: 3/16: G.L. Pease~Charing Cross
Welcome!
After doing a little research, I think I am going to invest in a humidor, and get started on a coolidor as well. I have seen some general set ups for coolidors but am wondering what everyone else's take on the matter is? What is your preferences for setting one up?
Welcome from AZ.
