I normally use a V cutter to cut at the tip, and that normally works out fine.

There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.
Try the "Dickman" method: using a double blade cutter, snip the tip at an angle. You will expose a larger surface area to draw from, with less loss of the tip. Works grat!![]()
