OK.....
First. Your humidor is a Cigar Jar. Now these work great but you can't condition one since it's plastic. Conditioning is only for wooden humidors. OK, it does have a cedar disc in it. But it's only there for aroma and would only offer minor humidity stabilization anyway.
Take the sponge out. Make sure the puck up under the lid is properly moistened and put your cigars in it.
Relax. They'll be perfectly fine. I once had a Cigar Jar and they work well. Just check the puck for water a couple of times a week.
Remember. This jar is giving an air tight seal. It's not going to lose much humidity. In fact be sure to pop it open at least once a day for air exchange!
SECOND - When placing a piece of sponge or other wet material in a baggie for humidification...BE SURE IT DOESN'T TOUCH YOUR CIGARS!
You naughty, naughty man!![]()
Most of all...as I said...relax and enjoy your cigars!
If you really wanted to, you could take the cedar disc and wipe one side of it with distilled water till it's very damp and then place it back in the jar with the wet side facing down. You don't want wet materail touching your cigars.
