I've had the occasional Zippo cigar light, and there is definitely a perceptable fluid taste for the first couple puffs. After that, I've never been able to tell the difference. If my taste buds are trashed from a rich meal or a prior smoke, I can't tell at all.

Ive never been able to tell the difference. If you claim to taste lighter fluid in the smoke, you're either doing something really stupid, or youre just smelling the lighter itself (which greatly influences taste).
