I guess I'm lucky, my local B&M is Serious Cigars. They are good people and have a great shop! I'm there every Friday hanging out and smoking. He has a nice sitting room with nine very nice and large leather chairs in a sitting room, also cable TV and even a golf arcade game thats free to play. I almost forgot about the free pizza too. Anyway if you get a chance to order from them I know you will be happy, plus the girl that fills all the orders is not bad to look at. At least now you will know its not some hairy man handling our cigars.

What a coincidence! I was in there myself for the first time last night.

Everything tx_tuff says is true. Well stocked shelves, very helpful and knowledgable staff. Free wireless internet in the lounge.

The only way you could order something and it turns out to be out of stock is if tx_tuff is walking out of the humidor and towards the cash register with it in his hand. No kidding. The only time the website does not accurately reflect the contents of the walk-in humidor/stock room is if someone mistakenly rings up a beli as a robusto or some such mistake. Judging by my conversation with la Patrona, such mistakes are probably rare.

As soon as I posted this, I wondered if it was true. Let's say they have one box of A/F Hemingway Signature cigars. You order the last box and click OK. The inventory goes down to zero. At the same time, tx_tuff is walking towards the register with that same last box of cigars in his hand. Would the cashier still be able to check him out? Would she have to tell him, "I'm sorry. I can't sell these to you. I just sold them to some damn Yankee in New Hampshire."

I'll have to ask next time I'm in the store...

You allways take care of your walk in customers before mail in or internet. General rule of thumb. Most inventory systems will not prevent you from selling stuff even if it says it is not in stock, it will just still reflect zero on the inventory.

And I do tend to walk around with cigars in hand. You can spend way more time than you ment to just walking around checking out all the stock.

I just wanted to resurrect this thread to give props to Serious...

Their automagic inventory system kicks butt. The other day I saw some Short Stories in stock, but neglected to get any. Then they were gone. Checked back last week and they had some. This time I didn't hesitate.

And they were shipped out that afternoon, with a humipack in the box. This guy really rocks.

i've never ordered from them, but i make the trip up there every once in a while. best store in the houston area IMO
