Building a coolidor eh? Did you get it in a kit or is it a one off?

  2. Default Cuban Crafters Update

Thanks for the offer Kayakinboy, but cubancrafters came through.

This company is pretty badass, I must say. I wrote out an e-mail explaining the issue and within 30 minutes I was given a phone call offering me this:

    1) Next Day Shipping on a NEW humidor.
    2) The guy said he'd personally insepect it himself before sending it out.
    3) He offered to throw in some free cigars for my 'trouble.'

Low and behold, the humidor showed up today with the promised smokes. Just seasoned it and I'm calibrating the hygrometer. I tell ya, that is some of the greatest customer service I've ever seen!

Kudos to CubanCrafters.com and I can't wait when this puppy is finally seasoned / calibrated and ready for some smokes to put in it!

Cut them open!!!!!! What was he, an imbecile? What is it about some law enforcement that leads them to believe they can destroy everyones property on a hunch? I've got an idea for a new law. If they destroy something during the course of a search and don't find anything, they can pay for a replacement or repair. No to mention a cleaning service to clean up the mess.

it's tough when you can't tell the difference between a blunt and a professionally rolled premium cigar...

That just makes me want a professionally rolled blunt.

A couple weeks ago I bought a Montecristo white bellicoso for 12.00. It was hoplessly plugged. What smoke I could get out of it tasted worse than horrible. I threw it with disgust into my campfire.
Do draft dodgers have reunions? And if so what do they talk about?

This was no fake. I may be a rookie on this MB, but I'm no rookie cigar smoker. Even the finest cigar rollers have a bad day now and then.

I've never seen a Monte White Belicoso that was counterfeit. I have had Monte Platinum's that have been plugged... It happens from time to time. That's why any good experienced cigar smoker will tell you not to base your opinion on just one cigar .

I'm not giving up on Cristos. That was the first bad one in a lot of years.

I've only smoked six cigar brands:

    -RyJ no. 2
    -J. H. Upmann in a silver tube
    -La Flor De Ynclan
    -Montecristo petit tubo or something
-"Garves Brasil" (bought these in Germany)
-some crappy cigar from Quebec I bought at the duty free shop--it might not have had a name--with Havana seed or something stupid like that

    I highlighted the bad smoke.

This "thing" burned at a rate of a quarter inch (yes, inches, for the American folk) a second and tasted like a huge cigarette (I've never tried a cigarette before but that's what I came up with). Inside the tube was a piece of look-alike cedar to help preserve the taste.
