Thread: Favored Cigar Length

  1. Default Favored Cigar Length

Do y'all favor a shorter or longer length?

At first I prefered the shorter pups, but I'm slowly enjoying the longer ones - I feel like in general I get smoother pulls and less heat from the longer cigars. Is there anything to this, or am I just imagining it? Yes, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to cigars.

Depends on how much information I must extract during the torture session.

I dig figurados. I love a Double Corona for the long drive and a work of art for a short one

Shorter or longer than what exactly?

Most obviously, longer cigars generally take longer to smoke than shorter cigars. I'm not going to pick out a Churchill for an after-lunch smoke on a work day. Similarly, I'm not going to want to take Rothschild out for an evening down the tavern.

One day, i hope to be rich enough to buy 8" cigars (Churchills, etc.) and only smoke half of them.

I usually smoke shorter cigars (less than 6") for a couple of reasons:

    1. time
    2. cigars still give me a head buzz (big uns knock me on my ass).

Poor options. Longer-shorter? I like the middle, give me the Robusto any day. Every fast food place has at least three drink sizes, so should this poll.

    Some people prefer short smokes.

    Some prefer longer smokes.

Others have a different opinion - which is why there's the depends option.

You pick "depends" and then post why. Preferably not including a threadcrap in the post.

Oh, CIGAR length? Can I change my answer? ;)

I'm typically more interested in gauge than length. I like big gauges and I can not lie, you other brothers can't deny! Oooh, I need more coffee.

I started out smoking mostly shorter robustos so I could taste a variety of labels without spending my life on the smoking porch... Now I'm starting to like the toro... Nice gauge with a little more length...

Gyno Rhino, ye of 8 posts, you come into my community's house and you try and tell me what I can or cannot post. The fact is, I have posted within the rules given by Hex. Furthermore, your poll was a crappy poll. There have been plenty of polls that have been trashed before because they asked a question poorly. Sure, there are lots of stupid answers out there, but there a lot more stupid questions in the world than stupid answers. You really don't want to come in to a place that you're new to and post a retort to a respected member of the community, especially if your retort includes jargon such as "threadcrap". It looks like you haven't posted much since posting your response to my reply, and that's probably a good thing. We piss on cocky, self-righteous noobs all day, and there's no poncho that'll keep the urine out of your eyes my friend.

Really important to clearly state your position. It helps in the healing. LOL

It's a statement that adds nothing to the thread and only leads to degeneration.

like most others here, it all depends. But some of my most memorable cigars have been larger in size (churchill and up).

The bigger the better. I'm definitely a Churchill girl. The larger cigars suit my taste the best. I'm not sure why. I've been smoking some cigarillos on campus this semester with the objective of fitting in a smaller smoke in between classes. They fit the bill under the circumstances, but simply can't compare to the larger cigar I light up on the drive home from classes.
