Since then, I believe I posted twice on this Politics board until last night.....while posting MANY times on cigar-related topics on the Cigars board. And as I'll remind you AGAIN, my "political post" on this board last night was in response to a partisan political jab by YOUR FRIEND, CC. Don't you find it the least bit awkward to challenge my decision to discuss politics on this board when the man you're defending raised the partisan musket in the first place? For the life of me, I can't understand the logic behind the ongoing claim that CC86 is the only one here entitled to use the Politics board to discuss political issues (or in this specific case, unnecessarily divisive trolling about the 2000 election on a thread involving an Independent gubernatorial candidate in Texas).

Now, I fully understand I will never get the last word in this debate. I just happen to have the weekend off and am temporarily able to keep up with a man who lives on this board and takes it upon himself to pollute as many threads as possible with his cartoonishly hostile attitude. I get that! And you're also right that my early attempts to "teach him a lesson" were futile as he is clearly a sociopath incapable of learning from his mistakes and treating people who are civil to him with the same degree of decency. With that said, I make no apologies for anything I've said or done in this thread other than implying a quote to CigarNoBaka for words he didn't say. Perhaps because CC has sent you some cigars in the mail over the years, you're willing to accept his disrespectful tough-guy routine.....but just because you are, don't expect me to.

Regarding my "arrogantly declining" newbie sampler packs, I graciously thanked those who offered but didn't want to give out personal information online for safety reasons. I specifically remember you saying that you understood my concern. Now, when we don't see eye to eye on something, you are changing your tune and pointlessly adding it to your arsenal of grievances against me. Don't you think that's a little petty?

And I notice you didn't comment on my question on how you'd respond if CC took it upon himself to call your wife or mother a "snotty bitch" and then proceed to hurl more slime at her when warned to cut it out. Clearly, you think I should have just sucked it up and took the abuse. Would you have done the same...or requested that your wife or mother do the same? Are a few packages of cigars in your mailbox really reason enough to give this guy license to verbally abuse everyone who challenges him on anything?

Lastly, you mention that my "real agenda" here might be to "teach the FOG's a lesson." I would be better able to answer that question if I knew what FOG stood for.
Firstly - while I said I understood your concern about your safety on the internet - I further stated to you that once you got to know people on this board you'd be a lot less sceptical of accepting a sampler pack from them. I don't agree with your assessment of some of the older members here, and I also don't understand your concern for safety. I'd be much more worried about trying to prove a point and being like you are now. From the beginning you showed a bit of arrogance, and as time has gone on the arrogance just keeps getting more and more obvious. Hence my "arrogance" statement.

I believe you also need to go back and re-read the sequence of the posts....

A Democrat probably can't win a national election in any of these states for the foreseeable future....just as a Republican probably can't win a national election anywhere in the northeast (except maybe New Hampshire) for the foreseeable future.

That sequence is what started the ball rolling... I would suggest to you if you show that much arrogance, don't expect not to be called arrogant...

Because, Amanda, I didn't want to acknowledge a completely foolish question. And I would think that you would know the answer to that question without asking. If you choose to sling mud, don't expect to remain clean. If my wife or mother chose to go toe to toe with someone, acting arrogantly and superior in the process, I'm not jumping into the fray to prevent them from being insulted. That's completely foolish, wouldn't you agree??? I'm going to give you the same advice - if you are acting like a fool, expect to be treated like a fool...

And as far as "my friend" CC - I have to say I know him a bit better than I know you. And I can say I know him well enough to know that if I make a ludicrous comment, I'm going to get a tongue lashing. Having participated on this board for the short time you have, I would have thought you would have learned at least that much about CC. Further, you should have also known that you were facing quite a challenge from the very beginning. I'm shocked you're surprised - and further, am surprised you would be so arrogant to think that you're going to "teach him a lesson". That has nothing to do with my relationship with CC - it has to do with understanding basic human nature.

BTW - FOG stands for "Fucking Old Guy". And while some feel FOG's are overrated, the fact of the matter is - they generally have seen A LOT of snot nose punks come and go. There are quite a few that come in to the cigar boards and flex their muscles, wanting to challenge them and teach them a lesson. And from what I've seen - in 99.9% of the cases, that has a tendency to backfire... Kinda like showing disdain to the police when they stop and write you a ticket - it feels good for the moment but costs pretty dearly later...

Amanda - you are not having a private conversation with CC. If you look at the number of views of this thread, and do the math, I think you will probably realize there are far more reading this thread than are posting. CC has established himself as who he is over a number of years - he is widely known on many boards. You, on the other hand, are only known for your posts here on CigarSmokers. And, I've got to say, you are rapidly being known for your absolute arrogance. If that is the persona you wish to assume on the cigar boards, you can continue the path you've started on... Good luck....
