IMO wishing the death of a well respected member of the board should not be tolerated. The fact that this was in response to GG publicly posting a PM I find amazing, you write and send something, you abdicate control and it's not as if this is the first time that a PM has been publicly posted by the recipient.

Alright, I hate to point to another board, but this is just to show what will happen. On CP there was a member that did the same thing, and long story short, we banned him, let him back, and the community wasn't happy about it.

I vote ban. That's taking things way too far, and personally, I just wouldn't feel safe with someone who says things like that being a part of a friendly community.

I don't know this Amanda girl, and I'm glad. No matter HOW heated a situation gets, you don't make threats like that, ESPECIALLY on a public forum that the entire internet has access to.

If you're that heated where you make threats like that (especially to people you don't know), that is just plain disrespectful, and WAY out of line. No one should EVER talk like that no matter how pissed off you are. Take a BREAK from the keyboard and simmer down, there is no reason for your rage to get THAT out of control.

I'm in agreement with SuperChuck, this b.s. is really beginning to wear on me as well. I'm tired of seeing these disrespectful and out of line comments from various members. Until the above was posted I felt it was mainly a fight between Amanda and CC86 and aside from a nonsense question thrown into the middle to try and lighten it up (which didn't do any good) I tried to remain neutral and read only, and near the end my only real post was for everyone to just take a step back and stop as it seemed like it was going to go on forever and wasn't serving anyone any good...now normally, having had some problems on another board and still trying to work them out, I am just beginnning to learn how these online forums work, and would never call for anyone's banning, leaving that up to those who know better...however, threats of bodily harm, and death threats are no joke, and don't belong on any board, under any circumstances, and I feel these merit a permanent ban.

I apologized twice for my behavior...first to ggiese personally, and then to the entire board. Someone suggested the apology was meaningless without deleting the post, so I did that as well. Given the magnitude of my comment, perhaps that's not enough, but it's all I can do. Hex, I apologize specifically to you for my part in dragging this thread on your board so far into the sewer and raising the viciousness bar to an unprecedented level. I don't plan on continuing to post here, but will understand if you want to make the departure official by banning me.
