Until the above was posted I felt it was mainly a fight between Amanda and CC86 and aside from a nonsense question thrown into the middle to try and lighten it up (which didn't do any good) I tried to remain neutral and read only, and near the end my only real post was for everyone to just take a step back and stop as it seemed like it was going to go on forever and wasn't serving anyone any good...now normally, having had some problems on another board and still trying to work them out, I am just beginnning to learn how these online forums work, and would never call for anyone's banning, leaving that up to those who know better...however, threats of bodily harm, and death threats are no joke, and don't belong on any board, under any circumstances, and I feel these merit a permanent ban.

I agree with most everyone voting to ban Amanda.

We seem to have a rash of posts were people are writing and not thinking about what the message is they are conveying. Only after they post is when the realization of a stupid, if not absolute, wrong post sets in. This, in all honesty, is poor posting and very bad judgment.

As an Air Force Instructor we are taught to be careful with what we say because if we teach the lesson wrong first time this is what most people are going to remember. It is very hard to go back and correct what you just taught in error. If you commit this type of error, how are the students going to be able trust you with the rest of the lessons or the entire course?

Please for many of the new people to this board and to posting on Message Boards period, learn the lessons of Corona Grande, TheycallmeManix, and Amanda. Read what you want to post before you post it, USE SPELLCHECK,, and make sure the message you really want to convey is clear and precise. Because that post is the one that people are going to read and make their decisions from and not the ones that your apologies will be on later.

Ah, you are correct Lopaka, I was wrong, she did apologize to the entire board for her outburst against ggiese. Thanks for picking that up.

She never did apologize to me for the repeated abuse she threw my way because I think she still believes she was completely justified with that repeated nasty-assed assault when she was so proud of herself when she thought she was "putting me in my place" . It might be nice if she'd recognize that she was also completely out of line with regard to that but I highly doubt she ever will. If she did, I'd certainlly apologize to her as well and we could both feel a little better about this whole mess but the ball's in her court on that one.....

And when I read some of the comments made by some people on this board in reply to Amanda's post, I can only think that it will be just a matter of time for them to be on the other side of the firing line for a "faux pas" in the not too distant future. The levels of insults, venom and repressed anger is simply frightening.

Come on, I'm not saying we should all love each other and hug at the end of each post (perhaps with little and s ?) but can't we try and bring the board to its primary aim: ie: to discuss cigars?

My view is some people actually relish this arguing like pigs in shit. Come on, everybody, let's chill out. If we truly are a community then we should all try and make this work. Don't forget that posting stuff is cold and impersonal. I'm certain that, had we all been chatting in a bar with a nice drink and a good cigar, neither Amanda nor Ggiese would have taken this argument this far.

Ban her and get back to cigars. I have some burning issues I need to discuss and not with a therapist from Iowa. Amanda says she wants to work with kids. Well I have for the last 21 years in Residential Treatment Centers. We call them emotionally disturbed. Your postings seem very familiar to me. The hurt feelings, retaliation, power struggle, violent fantasy the combination is self-destructive. Get help we all need it from time to time.
