What do you mean by an introduction in the Cigar Forum? This was my first post here in the forums and I have only recently started reading this forum. I am not familiar with any etiquette or locations for posting the various topics.

No prob. Let me explain. It is customary to devote a thread to telling us a little bit about you. Say "hi, my name is illilli, I am from X, I like X things, I listen to X music, I play X sports, I like X cigars. that kind of thing. This thread is usually posted in the cigar forum, or the General Discussion forum. (as opposed to the reviews or politics forum)![]()

Well, I smoked this during lunch today. A freebie from CAO. It's a beautiful cigar. The wrapper is dark and oily with a nice tooth. The draw was a hair tight, but not bad at all. This was a slow burning, densly packed cigar. After it took me 15 minutes to get an inch into it, I figured I wasn't going to be able to smoke it all the way down. This cigar didn't have the usual Cameroon flavor I'm used to tasting. I probably wouldn't have guessed it as a Cameroon had I not known. It was smooth, with a good solid medium body and a moderate complexity that hinted at spice, wood, and sweetness. The complexity was subtle, but nice. It finished with a little peppery bite. It burned well, with the exception of a small stem near the wrapper causing a bit of a burn problem 1/3 of the way in. A little head buzz, but nothing big. All in all, a good cigar! I enjoyed it and I'd smoke one again. The problem is that this is a good $5 smoke, but it sells for $10. It's just not worth ten bucks. This isn't saying much since I don't find many smokes worthy of a $10 price tag. I find CAO's generally overpriced, so it doesn't surprise me much.

seems like a consensus from most that it was an enjoyable cigar, but not worth the price of admission --
i'd tend to agree...i received a free one during their promotion and really enjoyed it, though it was definitely not a life changing experience. by mistake they actually sent me a 2nd free one (complete with a 2nd hat)...i'll be thanking them for their generosity by actually buying a few more cigars from them. i love freebies, especially in cases like this where i get to try something i might not have otherwise...but i try to reward the companies by returning business to them...i don't know, just seems good.
either way, this was definitely a decent cigar...nice and smooth from start to finish for me. burned a little un-evenly at the outset but quickly evened out almost an inch into it.
