The prices here in Ontario/Canada are outrageous compared to prices I see on various U.S. web sites. The rumour on cigars is take the net price and add on 1.5X for exchange/import duties/ shipping etc.( eg. $100 box U.S. = $250 Can.) after everything is done.
Is this true? Please reply....Thanx
I agree with Poppa, Im from Ontario too and being a season ticket holder for the bills, I go over the border a lot. Go down to the Tinder Box and pick up a humi. Even though some retailers in the states have good prices on shipping, if they ship via UPS then you will get hit with brokerage fees, taxes and duties. Gotta love Canada !
Ive bought a couple humidors from Tampa and teh fees are a lot to take. But they were such a good deal, I couldn't resist.

Hey, I'm from Kitchener and have recently purchased a humidor from the U.S., online. It was shipped just a few days ago so I should find out how it went soon. I'll let you know here, but if you want more details feel free to PM me.
Superchuck has the right idea, but to make it even easier, just buy it in Buffalo and mail it to yourself.
Great nhcigarfan!!! Would there be any import duties taxed on when I pick it up in Canada at the Post Office, they won't leave it in the mailbox.. how does the import duty thing work? How much would the shipping approx. be?
Thanx everyone so far, I hope all these suggestions and comments are helping all the other over-taxed Canadians bring over some good U.S. stuff while the $C is at a good rate right now!!
