LOL. well, that's what i get for trying to "moderate" that topic about "age verification software", right? the guy just has something against me, which is fine, i kinda ran him off right before the big crash in early Sep when he was "offended" by anything/everything... little does he know that i was his biggest supporter when the site owner (and many more FOGs) just wanted to ban him permanently.
i'm not big on the RG system, because it's abused so much and ppl rarely take it away for valid reasons, but it seems that not too many ppl like the guy that thinks i'm a forum-nazi.

i seem to recall some comments sent my way, like, "f@ck franksmith". that was one of the nicer ones.

on to the "user profile - notes" thing... that's between you two (or 3 or 5).

i was just stopping by to see how things were going over here, decided to read some past issues with the word "clubstogie" in it... found this.

and some of you feel that your pointing out problem children falls on deaf ears over there, it does not.

i will say that "I", personally, have had zero problems with cameron (since i'm in this topic here). i have PMed him a few times back and forth, about what's happened here and other things regarding clubstogie. he's been nothing but nice, but i have read the quotes posted in here and other places... i've given him what little bit of advice i could, not that i'm anyone to listen to...

my bottom line is: if you don't like a particular place due to the atmosphere, leave and go where you're comfortable.

also, i don''t think it's cool to trash one board when you make it to the next one (unless it's CigarAficionado - cuz it blows). we're all in this together, some personalities find a way to come together on particular boards, his obviously doesn't jive here, so he should stay away from here. he's been fine over there, except for the spillage from what happened over here that made it's way over there.

just talking, no need to listen to me though. you all deal with things the way you deal with 'em. there are times when clubstogie should ride some ppl outta dodge like you all do... that's just one of the difference between boards. you all have solid members, as do we. the tone of the board is just different and it is up to those members to find one they are good in.
if they're a royal fugg up, they'll show their true colors in due time.

CC - did i spell anything wrong or miss a comma?

edit - if you two/three want me to edit/delete some of those user profile notes, let me know. if that'll help cease whatever you all have between yourselves.

Thanks for your input, and we wholeheartedly agree with one another as far as the types of situations we feel comfortable in. Every board has its own unique personality - attractive to its own set of personalities (and OH BOY, do we have the personalities here!!!). This board is not very attractive to some, and very appealing to others.

Cameron got off on a bad foot here - but he now seems to maybe understand where he went wrong. From what I'm hearing from you and others, he's really not a bad guy. He was just having a bad hair day. Hopefully, he learned how to deal with those situations so it doesn't blow up into a huge mess again. He's certainly welcome to post here - and he may just get over his previous faux pas if he continues to be a good neighbor.

I'd appreciate it if you would remove my comments from his user notes. You'll have to talk to him about removing his comments from my user notes... That's totally up to him.

i think those are "ring gauge" comments, which i cannot see or edit or anything (i can see them when you post 'em though).

i don't go into the retailer section often, so i missed that entire thing.

i did notice that you managed to get -14 RG though. some ppl don't really pay much attention to that stuff.

there are times when some people jump on others who are trying to help out before knowing what they're doing.

as i've said to others on here in PMs and such, namely ggiese and CC, "I" appreciate the heads ups you all give when someone that blows a gasket over here ends up over where i'm at.

wish i could help you out with "those type" of comments, but i cannot.

and that topic with TBScigars is locked. you all got your proof in on what type of person he is, and he got his reply in. it's up to the other members to see who they'd trust.

oh, i just read the last part of the last sentence. i dont' think clubstogies' policy is to hide/harbor scumbags and gougers. the policy that the owner wants is that everyone gets a clean slate. not everyone agrees with it, and there are times when i think we should just get rid of someone based on their actions on other boards, but there are times, like in the case with cameron here, his personality didn't jive with all yours. he's not been a problem and has taken part in secret santas and things like that... sure, we're more laid back (except me), but it's not the intent to hide scumbags and gougers. matter of fact, i think the only time the retailers section gets any play is when someone comes in and starts giving a retailer a hard time... otherwise, i never go in there and i don't know many ppl who do.
do i like vendors/retailers that charge higher prices than MSRP on hard to find items? nope, i don't. but i also feel that the consumer should be the one to make the choice if he wants to overpay.
now that i'm reading that topic, i don't feel you did anything wrong in your initial post that called out TW cigars...

Yep, that would be me. I actually gave you positive Ring Gauge because, as I said in the comment, I think your heart was in the right place. I posted in that thread that I was completely against the way TWCigars did business (I was one of the few that did that). I think that your tone and the way you worded your post got people riled up, much in the same way Cameron did over here. Regardless of your tone, though, I thought you had a valid point, I agreed with you, and so I gave you RG (otherwise you would have been down at around -20).

BTW, I think Cameron's a good guy, not the most eloquent, but a good guy. When he first started posting on ClubStogie, his post whoring annoyed me, but once I began talking to him via PMs and IM, I realized he was just excited about his new hobby and wanted to be involved in whatever way he could. We just did a three way split on holiday Fuentes with another member from this board and it couldn't have gone any smoother.

I just gave KB some positive Ring on ClubStogie because he speaks the TRUTH about TWCigars. It's simple, they are scammers AND I ordered some LFD Chisel maduros from them and it took them over THREE WEEKS to send them to me. Not only that, when they sent them to me, they were NATURAL not MADURO as I had requested.

They are a horrible vendor and I for one appreciate Kayakinboy letting people know about these guys.

Didn't I see somewhere that they were nominated for "Vendor asshat of the year" on another forum?

I am not happy at all with the fact that KB's RG got whacked on ClubStogie. Now granted, it's been past practice on ClubStogie to thump the ever loving HELL out of someone who joins up and immediately smack talks, particularly a vendor, BUT in the case of KayakinBoy, it's a very different situation from habanohal or cohiba. NO ONE knows who the hell they are but anyone who "gets outside" of the world of ClubStogie should know that KayakinBoy is a member of quite a few other sites and probably has a legitimate concern that should be investigate BEFORE his RG is slammed.

Just goes to show that the RG system certainlly has it's faults......

anywayz, i'm not for all the cross-board bad-mouthing. we both do things a little differently and that's that. some people on CS (as well as other forums) just can't stand up on their own, they have to follow the pack and be one of the last people to dog-pile on. they can't be the first, there's no security in that, it would make them look like a bad guy. i don't seem to have that problem though.
