I guess nobody wants to play, so its offically a no-go.

  2. Default Start Small

I say start small and lets have fun. I am interested and after we enjoy the sticks we can start again.

I'll try it again in a few months, think everyone is still lacking money from the holidays. April or so may be a better time.

I, too, would not mind getting in on some sort of draft. My only confusion is the stipulations-

"Each person sends in FOUR nice sticks with a VALUE OF ATLEAST $8. Remember this is msrp, so make sure your not sending in a very over priced stick you got at a local shop."

Is this a per stick MSRP? If so, where is there a reference point out there to find individual MSRPs? If not, is it based on a box MSRP price divided by the number of sticks in that box?

    Examples:

-I think the LFD DL chisel is a fine smoke. I buy these for $7.49 individually, so it would not qualify for this draft.

-I also enjoy CR Centro Finos- Sungrown and Cameroon (when I can find them). These retail here for 7.00- again a non qualified smoke.

-A Montecristo White Label runs me 10.75 a pop (tobacco tax here runs 35%), but at a box price they would average out at around $7.95. Would this not qualify?

It would be easier to skip past the strange amount of $8 per cigar and jump to $15 and up.

    Suggestions to get more participation:

    - Put a range on the smoke value: i.e. $7-$12 per stick instead of a hard cutoff.

    - Maybe solicit a wish list from draft participants before the smokes are offered into a central repository? This would separate an associated cost from what people actually desire and enjoy and removes MSRPs and individual area taxes etc. from the equation.

    Thoughts???

That was each, and MSRP can be found online for most all cigars. The $8 was a little high, and I'm thinking of changing it when I try to do the draft later in a few months.
