I smoked a Doble Maduro Robusto...Or that is what is appeared to be form the catalog they sent. It was not much to look at. A large vein ran up one side and the cap was a little slopy.
It cut cleanly and was well filled. The draw was perfect and the cigar burned evenly.
The taste reminded me of a Henry Clay. It was leathery and had a little spice. Large amounts of smoke with every draw. It was on the mild side of medium.
If this cigar is in the three to five dollar range it would be worth the money. It is a decent every day cigar.
I have a couple of Toros and a Churchill size left. Looking forward to smoking them.
Susan at Puros Ache has kept in contact with me wanting to know how I liked the smokes. She seems really interested in her product. Nice to see that in a company rep.![]()
