Making a humidifer stick to a humidor lid...

The cheap velcro that came with it fell off due to the humidity looseing the glue.I have since bought the good 3m stuff and all is good.
Plus in the beginning I was just useing distilled water and over humidified my box so I believe that caused it to come off at the glue.

A huge wood screw or 16d nail is all I use on my humidifying devices. stjohnroe I belive a bolt and nut is just plain overkill

Seriously some good advice about using name brand velcro,thats all I use.Never had any luck with magnetic tape ect ect

You could try gluing the velcro down and then letting it air out for a while to make sure there isn't any glue smell.

I did try using namebrand (3M) sticky back velcro but I still get the same problem, I am trying to get to the point where the humidifier is firmly attached but can be unscrewed.

On the humidors I build I use a screw through the body of the humidifier into the lid. Of course you can only do this if you're using a two piece body like a Nonpireill

Thanks for the tips guys.
It now seems I have sorted out the problem.
I removed the double sided tape that was supplied and replaced it with some outdoor 3M double sided tape, basically covering the plate. I think stuck it on the humidor and it hasnt moved since :)

Now I have to get some good steady humdity in there its going way too high at about 75-78%
