I did due dligence and found that although I have posted on this august board, I had not posted my curriculum vitae. I was born in Portland, ME and raised in Byfield and Wellesley, MA. When I was in HS, we moved to Bronxville, NY since my dad changed jobs. I started in college at Dartmouth for 2 years and finished at Fordham University with a major in psychology and a minor in philosophy. I realize that there is a Fordham Philosophy Professor who is a senior member of this board and I thank his departmnet for teaching me how to think critically.I suspect that my 2 favorite professors have now retired; Elizabeth Kraus, who tortured me in a Whitehead course, and Gerritt Smith, who sponsored me in a study of the Philosophy of Science and independent study in the Turing Machine. I dearly miss them both as I do Rev Murray in biology. Your Fordham Professor is one reason why I decided to post on this board. I left Fordham and worked for Met Life in the Group Admin area for a while until I got sick of the BS and realized that I needed a Masters Degree to make a good living for myself. In 1980, November, I joined the USMC at the age of 29 and somehow made it through boot. Served my entire term at Parris Island as a SRB Clerk and later as the Company Training NCO. I did realize my dream of earning a masters and attended the off-site Webster University at the Beaufort Naval Hospital site and got my MA in business administration. Enough for me, but I am married for 25 years this 10/24 and have no children, but 3 cats who are treated as children.
I have smoked ciars since 1970, along with a pipe full of Flying Dutchman. My favoirite brands are everything from Alec Bradley and Indian Tabac. Also love AF Brevas Royal Maduro, AF Curlyhead Deluxe Maduro and Quorum Corona as my favorite yard smokes. My absolute favorite smoke is the Pryme Gold 200. I have had Opus and others and do not prefer them.
Sorry for the length of this introduction, but I feel that if I totally open myself to you guys, one of two things can happen, 1. I can be accepted after a trial, or 2. I can be dismissed because the length of my introduction. Hope that I will be accepted. Paul
