There is a pub near me that so far has actually been cool with cigar smokers. If it is alright, I will name it since it has been cool and a good place to go, especially the Monday night wine tastings. The place is called Ed's Canal Pub located in Cumberland, MD. Of course me and my smoking buddy get dirty looks from some of the other patrons, but as long as Ed is cool with it, they can kiss butt. Besides, we smoke either before or after the tasting so we give the cig smokers that much respect even though they don't do that for us.
I was on the patio of the local bar a couple of weeks back, smoking an Anjeo of all things, and a guy walks up to me and asks me what I'm smoking. I'm thinking, wow cool a fellow BOTL who wants to compare notes, so I start telling him about the cigar and he stops me in mid sentence, "because it smells like shit".
I look around the crowded patio and count at least a dozen or more lit cigarettes. I pointed him towards the doors, to the "no smoking section" inside.
I'll put my Anjeo out on the bastards forehead next time.

Me and a few friends went to a local restaurant, planning to sit in the lounge and have a couple drinks and light up some sticks. We made sure to ask first, and even had the manager come over so we could check with her before we went in and started smoking. She said it wouldn't be a problem. After a coupple tables complained, we were asked to put them out and basically refused. We told them to turn on the ceiling fan. Not 20 minutes later after one table walked out and two more parties stopped at the door and left the restaurant entirely when they saw us (lounge is a sealed room, could have sat in non-smoking) we had another, more powerful, manager come over and insist we put them out. He apologised and said that he in fact liked the smell and smoked occasionally himself. I haven't been back. My friends and I actually know a few of the employees there, so we managed to find out which tables complained. All of them were filled with cigarette smokers puffing away.
I can't stand self-righteous hypocrites.
