This is at Saunders at Rye Harbor, in Rye NH. It's about 5 min. from my home and the restaurant where my wife and I worked in college and met. The cigars are tied to a lamp post on the Deck and the shot is of the harbor around 6 pm or so.

Very, very cool pic. Looks like a relaxing place to light up, soak in the ocean breeze and enjoy the scenery!

agreed with the happy little cloud... very cool pic - and artistic placement of the sticks tied in the lei.

Look at that... I plumb got myself 5 raisins and 7 termites.

The Restaurant went officially non-smoking last year. But when I worked there I managed the bar and always let guys smoke cigars and pipes in there even when the butt smokers complained. I'm good friends with the owner so I bet this fall if it's cool out and no one is on the deck he wouldn't care if I sparked up a cigar out there.

I worked there off an on for almost a decade and I used to love working lunch shifts in the spring and fall when it was cool out. I would go in early and sit out on the deck and have a cup of coffee and listen to the gulls do their thing.

Haven't checked this pass in forever. Glad to see it made it back home.

    Great job guys!

    Thanks again Maui.

Got the pics, just have to find the time to scan them in. Gunning to get it done and up by Wednesday for polling.

Don'tcha worry - the sticks are resting for whoever wins... at a nice 65% 68 degrees...

    Update?
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown

We've got photos! Sorry (really, truly, profusely) for the delay. Anywho - there were 12 pics from the camera - all scanned in and presented for your enjoyment:

Now here's a question for those of you more wizened than I... I was looking around and someone on another site had a picture voting on cigarweekly.com - does anyone here have an account there that would be willing to post them up there or should I do it (assuming that might be poor taste) - or does anyone have any suggestions other than posting a link to the kodakgallery and having folks post their favorite image number.

Of course, if there are any volunteers, you will receive select sticks of my choosing. ;)

    Thoughts thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Paul
