The Min Ron Nee book says the Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales are a machine made cigar that were slated to be discontinued in 2002. My HabanosSA information doesn't even list this cigar so I'm fairly certain that means they are discontinued. This vitola is no longer listed on the HabanosSA website.

Again, my literature and sources indicate these are machine made cigars. That's a whole lot more reliable than what some vendor claims. HabanosSA literature and sources for information are much more reliable then vendor claims.

Whether they were "good" or not is no proof to conclude they were not machine made. I've smoked lots of "great" machine made Cuban cigars and I've also smoked some average totally hand made Cuban cigars.

Partagas Petit Coronas are indeed hand made, they are 5 1/8 x 42, a "Mareva" vitola and have also been discontinued even though you can still buy them. My guess is that this is what you smoked.

There's no "e" at the end of "Petit"

I know the vendor you referenced Newfie lists those cigars on their site but have you checked with them to see if they actually have them in stock? That particular vendor lists many cigars on their website that they actually don't have in stock. How about you drew? Does your source actually have them in stock or merely listed on their site? Based on my experience, the Partagas PCEs are hard to find.

CC, be assured I'm not trying to argue or disagree with you, I just want to better understand something I'm not really sure of.

Here's a clip from another site I use as a reference:

    Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales

    Partagás Cigars

    Size: MAREVA 5" x 42 , 129 mm x 16.67 mm
    Cigars per box: 25
Last Factory Code is AGL FEB 06 and was received on 8 May 06
This does not guarantee you will get the same code since stock is continuously changing.
Now, there's a couple of conflicts between what this vendor is saying, and your info, and I don't doubt you saying the sources you have are much more reliable than "some" vendors statements.

If you'd like me to PM you the page I got the above info from, please just ask and I will.

    Jim.

    PS:

There's no "e" at the end of "Petit"
I stand corrected. It's the French influence on our language here in Canada.

Well THAT vendor is even more wrong than the first one. As I said, the Partagas Petit Coronas is a hand made, Mareva vitola measuring 5 1/8 x 42. And for the second time, the Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales is a machine made, Eminentes vitola measuring 5 1/4 x 44.

Now, there's a couple of conflicts
"Now there ARE a couple of conflicts" conflicts is plural.

It's the French influence on our language here in Canada.
"French" influence? I thought you were in Ontario, not Quebec.......

Don't sit there and talk about "little mis-namers" neither of you seem to know WTF you're talking about. I on the other hand think I do and have provided supporting evidence to get to the bottom of this.

OK, I stand corrected once again. You a friggin' English teacher or something?

I am in Ontario. But our cursed history of a Socialist Government has forced the French language on us.

E.g.: You CAN NOT get a job with any governmental agency ANYWHERE in Canada unless you are bilingual. Imagine if anywhere in the States you had to speak Spanish to be able to get a job in any level of Government??

No, I'm not a "friggin' English teacher or something." Don't get testy when you're wrong.

Dan, CC and I were just busting balls for a laugh, or so I thought.

CC, take a pill and look at the smileys I put at the end of the statement.

I'm not getting testy at all, but it sure seems you are. I'll quote myself:

CC, us Noobs look to FOGs like you to learn some of what you know. Do I (or probably the majority of members here) know even a fraction of what you know about cigars?? No, and I don't think I'm saying that. We don't expect to get shit on when we ask for some advice.

    Peace.

    Jim
