Radioshack Digital Hygrometer

I just picked up the 1089 yesterday. I have a month to return it, but so far the wireless transmitter works great. I put it in Freezer and watched the base unit track the drop in temp. Now I need to do a salt test and confirm that the humidity is right on. Stupid question, but how and what do you look for, from a salt test? I think I remember the humidity should be at 75%, but how do you set up the salt test?
BTW, this thing has a max and min memory for the ranges of temp and humidity!

Take a small bottle cap and fill it with salt. Add distilled water to the salt. Put the bottle cap and the sensor into a ziploc bag and make sure you force all the air you can out of the bag before sealing it. Then put that bag inside a second ziploc and do the same,that makes sure there's very little air getting into the bag. Let it sit for about 24hrs. It should read close to 75%

I think that's right others can correct me if it's not.

Brian, that sounds about right. After I asked the question I searched for the answer(reverse or I know) and found it under another post. I'll try the salt test tonight. As far as the sensor and main display, the system seams to function pretty good. If the salt test is good, then I'm set.

So after doing a salt test with my existing hygrometer and the new Radioshack one, the results are:
Radioshack is 5% above RH! My old one is dead nuts on. I'm releaved that my old one is dead on and will go about getting another one for the coolidor. I'm kind of disapointed and will be returning the radioshack one tomorrow. <<insert smilie with tail between its legs and head bowed down>>
