I'd probably just knock off the ash light it again, blow the old ash off before my first puff.
Other experienced smokers probably have a better way of dealing with re-lighting though.

I would just go take a deuce, come back and if the smoke is out, then just knock off the ash and then re light. I dont see much of a problem with it.
