I don't care for what he says or how he says it.
I think he's pretty rude and condescending.
I think he doesn't show any respect to Republicans who are reasonable, well-spoken individuals (and, no, I'm not saying all Rebublicans are.)
I think he makes Dem's like myself look bad.

But-
It's a free country, he keeps it in the politics section, and the ignore control works.

sucks pretty bad that someone would be put up for a ban for exercising his right....barry's involved in the newbie deal,the birthday club,and other cigar related things...he's freely offered med advice for our pets and has,on more than one occasion, called this bb his home board...i think it's pretty pussy for some to ask for his banning.
seeing that i invited him here,i'd have to think twice about sticking around.....
you may not like what he says..or the way he says it..but is bill any better??...i think not...

There is a huge difference between Barry and anyone else around here. He's been asked politely to refrain from the personal attacks and to tone it down and he has not. He is completely unreasonable and lies constantly about those who disagree with him.

Oh and Sid, where do you get this from?

I vote no Ban. His comments are being kept to the political forum, and he is not breaking any rules in this forum. Now I could see if this was spilling over into other cigar discussion, but it is not, and SmokingDVM is a contributing memeber. I won't go as far as to say that I agree with him, but here is a quote from the politics forum:

I know Barry is a great guy. So some of us don't agree with his political views and opinions as well as his argumentative style. You know something I could care less.

I have seen too many battles being fought in the politics forum and too many people get hurt for no reason so if anything I would vote to ban the politics forum,

Think for a second if Barry or any of the others who have had arguments there were ever blamed for the stuff they did in any of the cigar related threads.

Honest I am almost digusted that you guys act just like any pro and against sides whether it be abortion, same sex relationships or SMOKING!!!!!!!!! These battles are never won only casualties are the result of this hate You all want others to be tolerant of your smoking hobby while it may irritate the hell out of a lot of people why not be tolerant of others' political views

Be grownups for god's sake if you don't like what people think at your place of work you don't vote to have them fired you just don't talk to them about those topics If your family member annoys you you don't have them disowned you learn to steer the other way When you attend a football game you cheer for your team next to the guy who you might have nothing else in common and maybe you don't Well guess what we all love cigars so if we have an argument let's have it on the grounds of whether OPUS or VSG is a better smoke at least we will smoke 2 great sticks at the end

Hmmmmm, once again George, I think you're onto something.

I've been thinking quite a bit about why Sid is acting the way he is and I haven't been able to come up with an answer because his behavior and actions are well, just inexplicable.

Do you think it may have anything to do with his behavior on herfer's paradise? Didn't he get a whole lotta people pissed at him there too? Seems like a pattern with him which is too bad.....
