He made the statement and now his "spin-machine" is in overdrive to try to make it look like he did nothing wrong.

    Just take your lumps.
It is crazy how the article can twist the truth so much that people actually believe nonsense. I've heard how you shouldn't believe everything you read, this is a perfect example of why.

I'm not yawning because I agree or disagree, I yawn because this is just more tiring bullshit. Probably why the others are yawning as well.

I saw these quotes, and thought they were pertinent also...

"I think it's important to note that nobody hates the troops more than decorated war hero John Kerry. We're all very, very lucky that we have draft-dodgers like George Bush and Dick Cheney to point that out to us."
    ---Jimmy Kimmel

"So far almost 2,800 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq. I say "almost 2,800" because there is no exact number. It changes by six or eight every day. That's how many of our young men get killed. And for what? Just tell us, Mr. President. For what? It hasn't even been good for Iraq; it certainly hasn't been good for us. The whole world thinks less of us for what we're doing there. This little war is costing us $2 billion a what? I forget, a day, a week, a minute? It's the kind of money I can't even imagine. "
    ---Andy Rooney

    And my absolute favorite...

Bob Corker is gay. He may not know it yet, he may never know it, he may go to his sarcophagus wrapped in denial, but his fascination with [Harold] Ford's prowess and good looks gives him away, as does his political affiliation. All Republican political figures are gay, especially the men. When President Bush insists on kissing one bald head after another, the psychosexual symbolism speaks for itself. He's planting his lips on big uncircumcised Kojak peckers. When Rush Limbaugh packs his Viagra and jets off on a tropical jaunt with the guys, it's assumed there are saucy wenches awaiting him under the sultry palms, but I wonder---I wonder if it's cabana boys making the hammock sway under the moonlight.
---James Wolcott (emphasis added by me)
Link to full quote, it's really funny, IMO

I can't help but point out some errors here.

    Dumbya...nope, didn't serve.
    W. served in the Texas Air National Guard, that's still in the Uniform.

    Cheney... didn't either.

    Rummy... not even.
Rummy served in the Active Navy as a pilot and instructor from 1954-1957.
In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Captain in 1989.

    Ad nauseam.

Just correcting some minor errors. You may not like they way they served, however they did wear the uniform.

However, other then those errors you made..../YAWN

You're right, rummy did serve, kinda. And, look what he's done for the military since then.

Duhbya however, was at least AWOL, and more likely a deserter, from the make-believe service( cause that's really what it was at the time, nothing more than a way to avoid real service). He was, and remains to be, a POSER.

They're all criminals, and deserve no less than to get a good taste of water-boarding, first hand.

Anyone who really believes that Kerry was actually denigrating the Troops, is wallowing in the stupid pool, along with duhbya.

Isn't it just like Kerry to suggest that military personnel are stupid for serving in the first place?? Kinda like suggesting that "Dumbya" was in the "fake" military, even though he really did serve in a US military uniform... I suppose you're going to start with the "baby killer" stuff next. That's Vietnam era thinking.

And, yes - spin it the way you want - Kerry made a pretty screwed up statement. The other thing I find interesting about his statement - he made an "I apologize, but Bush should apologize too..." strings attached apology. Apologize, explain what you meant - AND MOVE ON!!! A guy with Kerry's supposed political savvy really should know better... The reason he's still embroiled in this mess is because it's coming off as arrogant and really meant to say what he said...

BTW - that "fake" military and AWOL stuff didn't work when Bush was first elected, and I highly doubt it's going to hold water now. You might want to find something else with more substance...

Sooo Kerry writing his own purple hearts to get out of Veitnam makes him a war hero how?

From your logic you have be president with combat experience to send troops to into combat or your a criminal. Sooo lets see...

Clinton- Never served in a Uniform. Sent troops into Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Kosovo.

    Lets keep looking back more...

FDR, Never served in a uniform...World War II

Woodrow Wilson... occupied Veracruz and Haiti and WWI

This is what I can think of off the top of my head. We can also discus LBJ and Vietnam because LBJ was never a combat officer just an observer through out WWII. Carter just served on a battleship and subs his naval career. He send troops into harms way.

We can spin this top around and around and around.

I'm wondering what Kevin would say to Kerry if he were a member of this group and tried to push off an apology like the one he made to this group.

Nothing even remotely similar. Anyone who isn't caught up in the rrw spin zone knows that over the last 40 years the way the Reserve and N.G. Troops are used has changed drastically. In the '60's, the N.G. and Reserve were used by the rich and well connected to keep their precious little boys out of harms way. IMO, these little pussies are even worse than the draft dodgers that just left the Country. At least the draft dodgers weren't trying to fake it.

Is that anything like "pre 9/11 thinking? What are you, an rrw bobblehead?

Kerry's only mistake was to try to act like a comedian. Something he is obviously ill equipped to do. And dumbya should do more than apologize, he should serve prison time, for the crimes he's perpetrated against the Troops, the Constitution, and against Humanity. Why do you, and the rest of the rrw's, hold dumbya and his cronies to a lower standard than everyone else? I do understand that they, especially dumbya, are mentally challenged, but I find that a poor excuse at best.

Like I posted above, just because the koolaide drinkers find it convenient to overlook the glaring shortcomings of the idiot in cheif, doesn't make the facts any less true.

I never said he was a war hero, not that he isn't, but I never made that call. What I did say, is that he SERVED. And, not only did he serve, but he served in a combat position, and came under enemy fire. So, you can continue to tout the swiftboaters bs, but there is still no comparison between Kerry and dumbya, when discussing who would really know what the Troops are like, and the shit they are enduring right now.

No, I never said any such thing. What makes dumbya a criminal is his blatant covering up and ignoring evidence so he could drag the Country into an illegal and unnecessary war in Iraq. He abandoned the just war in Afghanistan, in an attempt to satisfy his hardon for Saddam. Now he's losing on both fronts, because of his bullshit actions. He's committed the ultimate transgression possible IMO, by sending our young men to die over a personal vendetta.

You can keep spinning all you want, but none of your examples even remotely relate to the circumstances leading up to, and our continued involvement in, Iraq.
