    Glad but not too surprised.

Fortunately for us cigar smokers and those who were opposed to this Proposition was that it was so poorly written. So little of the tax went toward any programs aimed at smoking cessation and in the end the voters saw what this really was . . . a political money grab aimed at a politically unpopular group initiated by special interest groups who could not get their agendas through the Legislature.

Even still, being that this IS California I was a littel surprised that it did not pass. What shall I smoke to celebrate?

Good thing do-gooder, liberal shit like that didn't even pass in California. Hey Barry, weren't your Democrats the ones who championed this cause?

Actually, to the un-informed, it may have looked like that. However, it was supported mostly by large corporate hospitals (bloated, rich, corporate fat cats tend to be conservatives, even in CA ), for their almost exclusive profit.
You should be used to being wrong by now, somehow though you still seem a bit angry.

LMFAO!! A typical liberal who just plain makes shit up!! ALL of the anti-smoking zealots around the country are mostly liberal do-gooders Barry and your refusal to admit that is quite comical.

"large corporate hospitals" OMFG, oh yeah, it was ONLY "large corporate hospitals" that were pushing this!! Do you REALLY believe your own bullshit?

I love it when you post outrageous nonsense like this because you only hurt your own cause and your own reputation.

Please, don't let me stop you!!

    Here you go, dumbass.

    Who is behind Proposition 86?
Proposition 86 was written and is backed by California’s hospital industry. The hospital industry drafted the initiative, paid to circulate the initiative and collect signatures, and will be bankrolling the campaign to pass it. The largest share of the new tax proceeds – almost 40% - goes to hospitals.

They provide a list of who was opposing the prop., many of which are very LIBERAL groups. Funny how the proponents of this prop. won't provide a similar list of supporters.

You're a fucking idiot. This prop had nothing to do with anti-smoking. I know it's hard for you to do, but try looking up some facts, before posting your usual stupid shit.
