Is she the one? Yes and I'm positive that she thinks I'm the one. It being such a big step and such a (hopefully) long lasting commitment is the part that makes me step back and think about it. I'm sure all of you who have gone before can attest to this being a big decision. The thought of marriage and having a family together is an intimidating one, even if I'm positive about doing that with her. To get philosophical on you for a second: Life has been readying you for such decisions. Picking which college to go to, picking which job field you want to peruse, etc. In dating girls, you can begin to see what you are looking for in a mate, and what you aren't. Its funny looking back on the last 25 years and seeing how all those experiences are subconsciously preparing me for this. Deciding to buy a ring is a big step in what I see as a wonderful new chapter in my life. Whew, that is pretty heavy for an engineer!

Anyway, I want to share this moment with everyone here since you all are great people and I'm happy to be apart of this community. This has been very therapeutic.
