To anyone who is going to negatively judge me for making an honest mistake I offer my suggestion to go to hell.

You first zippy....

If anyone feels I deserve to be banned then simply send me a PM and I will step away.

I don't need to send you a PM to tell you that you just stomped on your own pecker and made yourself look like a complete idiot. The members of this board are some of the best people you will find on this planet and can be pretty forgiving provided a person makes an honest effort to right the wrong and is humble about it. Conditional apologies and smak talk are the last two ways of going about rectifying the situation.

While I have taken issue with this individual for his tone and means of handling the situation I do realize that I owe those affected by my mistake an apology.

An apology usually does not include a statement about people going to hell.

i would reccomend some type of a public speaking class or perhaps a cottillion course. I was not affected but could step back and see where you were coming from unitl you told those affected to go to hell if they didnt understand where you were coming from. I don't want to beat a dead horse but I would like to see you first retract that statement (jesus I sound like Nancy Pelosi) and perhaps follow up with what you said you will do and earn the respect form the elder members.

Actually he was being accused of stealing smokes, which currently would be factual.

Yeah... your response was contrite up until the last point... which begs the question - why the hell go to the trouble if you just have to have the last word? It takes away from any future apology you might give for an unrelated event.

As for PM'ing about a ban - personally, I don't think it's a bannable offense - but like K7 mentioned - you may well be treated as if it was one.
