    Default Opinionated Newbie Contest

We are blessed that a bunch of newbie’s just joined in the last few months. I’d like to do a contest for the newbies who have less then 150 posts. If you are an asshat, then you are disqualified. You are competing for:
    2- Ashton Churchills
    1- AF Short Story
    1- St. Luis Rey (NC)
    2 other of my choosing

    The questions are:

-Who, in my opinion, is the greatest NFL Quarterback ever?

-What, in my opinion, is the best NCAA sport ever?

-If I was a stay-at-home-Dad, what book would I read to my kids?

-Name one of my many hobbies.

In the event that there is more then one winner, the winners will arm wrestle to determine Ultimate Champion.

The contest is over at 2 PM EST on Thursday Feb. 22.

I did not find any direct statements for these answers so I am going out on a limb based on what I read about you. BTW, what a great way to learn about someone and their experience. Congrats on your recent engagement!

-Who, in my opinion, is the greatest NFL Quarterback ever?
John Elway (based on your love of the Broncos)

-What, in my opinion, is the best NCAA sport ever?
    Men's Lacrosse

-If I was a stay-at-home-Dad, what book would I read to my kids?
I will take a guess at this, The Darwin Awards

-Name one of my many hobbies.
I will avoid the obvious answer and go with Golf

Even if I don't win, this was a fun exercise.

    Thanks,
    -Chad

Not bad, you are close. I didn't realize I left so many clues about my self onthis board, I figured it would be crap shoot.

I was trying to cheat and look through your posts, but the ADD got me.

    Well, here goes...

    1. John Elway (I'll jump on this bandwagon)
    2. Men's lacrosse (ditto)
    3. "How to become rich so you can support your father when he retires"
    4. Apparently not reading to your kids ;)

While ELway is great, he isn't the greatest QB ever. His head is too big and his grin is too goofy. I'd give him a real strong #2 though.

-Who, in my opinion, is the greatest NFL Quarterback ever?
Jake Plummer... ha ha, just kidding. My guess is Joe Montana - since I have the advantage of knowing it's not elway. Though I probably thought about this question for 20 minutes while on the can. Also, I know your a redskins guy, but if you say Theismann I'm going to bomb you with swishers and macs. Be warned.

-What, in my opinion, is the best NCAA sport ever?
    Men's Lacrosse

-If I was a stay-at-home-Dad, what book would I read to my kids?
This one was the toughest for me, but I'm going to guess a longer books since a working dad would still have time to read shorter books (and longer ones I guess, but you know what I mean). So, I'm going with The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis

-Name one of my many hobbies.
Beer drinking, Sam Adams and Microbrews which tends to be my philosophy of beer, too

Good contest, especially because I now feel like your best from friend reading so many of your posts.

-Who, in my opinion, is the greatest NFL Quarterback ever?

Looks like everyone has done their homework and answered Elway. Well, I'm no cheater, so I'll go with Dan Marino.

-What, in my opinion, is the best NCAA sport ever?

The homework-doers seem to think it's men's lacrosse. So I'll go with women's lacrosse. Coeds in shorts is better.

-If I was a stay-at-home-Dad, what book would I read to my kids?

Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot by Al Franken.

-Name one of my many hobbies.

    Posting on cigar message boards.

While i want to congradulate everyone out there who participated, and remember that in my book, you are all winners. The answers to my questions are:

    1. Joe Montana. That guy was freaking awesome! The forst team I realy followed was the 49ers. Elway is a close 2nd. That guy is one step below the Pope in Denver.

    2. Men's Lacrosse.

    3. Calvin and Hobbes, those books were awesome to read. The only down side to this is that I see it inspiring my kids to do stuff I'd rather them not do. Maybe thats why my Dad didn't clue me into C&H till I was in High School.
-This was by far the most interesting answer. Lot of good ones thrown out there.

    4. That was pretty much a Gimmie question. No one got that wrong.

The only one to get 3 out of 4 was Derivation, so PM me your address and I'll get these sticks out to you.

    Jon.
