haha, I'd need to care a whole lot more about the comments to do that no worries.

I'm used to seeing the "old boys club" in tag team mode when someone has an opinion (right or wrong) that differs.

No problem ggiese, I'm on my way back to my summer home in Nova Scotia real soon and since I love driving, I'll take the long way around and drop it off on his door step myself in Ontario.

Thanks though for offering to step up and help me out on this one!! You're one of the best tag teamers a guy could ever hope for.

Actually ggiese I'm pretty bone hurt to see a place like this board go the route that it has lately. Comments like this are exactly the kind of thing that has gotten out of control between members, and all because someone isn't a robot that falls in line when browbeaten. Attack me all you want, talk about dropping flaming bags on my doorstep all you want, if that makes you feel better.

You don't like it? Fix it. Don't whine about it.

...and I'm not "talking" about dropping flaming bags of poop on your doorstep - I am dropping a flaming bag of poop on your doorstep. I got my passport and everything! And I'm coming to Toronto in two weeks. Listen for the doorbell...

Oh I see, so according to you, when someone does something wrong and/or stupid and more than one person disagrees with it, you conclude it's an "'old boys club' in tag team mode."

Monk, please do yourself a favor and resist the urge to dig your hole deeper.

I'm sorry if you don't like the way I just worded that last statement but that's just me.

How about this, would you like it better if I said:

"Monk, you're a great guy and you are a huge asset to this board. Your opinion and input is extremely valuable here and you've been a comtributing member for quite some time. Just so you can't be preceived as getting yourself in hot water, it might me a good idea to just give this whole thread a pass and not make anymore posts here."

I would like to say that but most of it is just plain not true and the rest is just fluff and bullshit.........

Isn't it though? If someone doesn't agree with the members who have been here longer they seem to get the bad end of a stick in my experience, and any time they have been here just doesn't seem to be good enough for them to be allowed to have a different opinion without reprecussions.

Your last comments are quite enlightening actually. Thanks,

hey monk...i haven't been here as long as these other guys and i've had a different opinion on more than one occasion. i've even butted heads a bit here and there and cam through relatively unscathed so if there's one piece of advice i can give you--make damn sure you can back up every sentence you write...these jokers have too damn much time on their hands to let even the smallest generalization slide!
Also, try to make sure you spell correctly. I've worked with elementary school teachers who are less hard on the "grammatically challenged" than CC.
And one more thing, don't be afraid to bust balls...for the most part, they can take it as well as they give it.

Well I didn't want to point out CC's misspelling of perceived (preceived) in post #76 since I know it will come back to haunt me someday when I mis-type

Okay, I can see how it may appear that way but honestly I don't think it happens as often as you may think.

For instance, propheticjoe has had disagreements with me and so has dickson. For the most part, these disagreements are worked out and everyone walks away either agreeing to disagree or changing their position due to well thought out respectful points from the person they initially had the disagreement with. This has happened with me and Nate (propheticjoe) on at least two or three occasions that I can recall and I think the world of him and highly respect him when he posts something that "calls me out" or whatever you want to call it. Same with Dickson, we may disagree and there are times when he and I say to each other "Oh yeah, I see your point!" and all is well.

There have been MANY other people that have had differences with others and can tell you the same types of stories.

It's all in how you present it. Yep, sometimes my "style" ain't the prettiest but that's just me....

I am so sick of this crybaby nonsense. Check my post history Monk. I joined this board back in '05 for the single reason of dogging Bill because something he posted wasn't true. However, there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things. I didn't flood the board with spam with so-called secret meanings to try and bait him or get on the phone and use other people to try and bait or any of that other sneaky crap and I used facts I could back up. I took it to him direct and between public postings and PMs we worked it out and moved on. Do you see me getting browbeaten? Am I alienated? I still take Bill to task over things on a semi regular basis, as Bill does with me. I took Bill to task over the war between himself and Sid and Barry. I, however, didn't get all butt hurt if Bill didn't roll over and kiss my butt and agree with me. Same as he doesn't get all butt hurt when I don't do the same for him. We work it out like adults. Sometimes that includes running off at the mouth to each other.

It when people get all butt hurt and start playing the victim and acting like mentally stunted goobs that a problem gets out of hand. Something Sid did, something Shelby is doing, and something you are trying your best to do. If you have a problem with Bill, use facts you can prove, and leave the dramatical emotions out of it. Step up to Bill like an adult and work it out.

I'm sincerely wondering what was in Cabaguan Juan's mind in voting to ban Bill. Strangely quiet...

Maybe he was on the phone yesterday too???

Hey - if you can't state your opinion publically on this board and back it up with logic - you're not entitled to an opinion. Sorry - this sneaky, snarky crap behind the scenes is total BS.

Go ahead and blame CC for this latest splintering of this board - but the reality is the pleasure of this mess belongs to the cigarsmokers nazi who is recruiting minions to do his dirty deeds.

How on earth is my comment to you a "personal attack"? You lied and I pointed out that you lied.

Speaking the truth about someone (you) is NOT a personal attack. If you don't like being criticized for lying about something you have no first hand knowledge about then don't lie, it's pretty simple.

    Whatever.

I was referring to some previous posts I recalled where Hex had asked you to stop some commenting (baiting) and I was including the first post in this thread. If anything I used "several" where maybe a "couple" should have been used but that would require me to go searching for all the posts and add them up, and I can't be bothered. Provided we are going by the definition of lying as "a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth" then I would have to also point out there was no intent to misrepresent.
