    Well, I guess because the alternative is not getting to enjoy the cigar. My favorite food, tex-mex, fires up the reflux everytime....but I ain't givin that up either.

    Well, the cure for allergies is being exposed to them... maybe it's the same for acid reflux.

    Find the closest "On The Border" with a smoking section.

    I haven't heard of a relationship between smoking cigars and acid reflux.

    However, the antacids should help. It is ok to use them before a cigar in order to help with the problem. Antacids aren't really masking the problem as Shelby stated, they are actually neutralizing the acid.

    But if it is an everyday problem for you, regardless of whether you are smoking or not, by all means go see a doctor.
