Good question. I have smoked at least a couple of boxes of each of these sizes and they are identical in flavor. Granted, each has slightly different draw/burn characteristics (none of which are bad). I have never sensed coffee in any Tatuaje. Pretty much smooth tobacco with a nice spice. I cannot say that I have really picked up on coffee in any stick other than a Java . Just my opinion. We all have different taste buds- so each to his own....

Just because cigars carry the same name, different sizes will not all taste the same. The blends are manipulated for each size. A group of tasters will taste blends for a particular size and determine what production will be.

... plus, with larger ring gauges, you're gonna get more filler tobacco, giving it a different profile. With smaller ring guages, your filler to wrapper ratio changes a great deal. If you enjoy a nice cameroon wrapper, you will get more of the flavor from the wrapper in the smaller ring gauges. If any of that makes any sense. This is from my experience and is my opinion.

Try a San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios. It tastes almost as if you're drinking coffee. Once you have that you may be able to pick out that taste in other cigars.
