I echo the bead suggestion. I've had them for a couple months and they have been awesome. 65% from heartfelt and you'll be set.

I think the beads are the best. I got the 70% rh beads cause i open my coolers alot and coolers dont seal too well (IMO) I also read 70 degrees (temp) & 70% rh was the ideal way to store cigars..but to each his/her own.

    Hi -

So the reason why you want something around a 65% relative humidity (RH) is because it closest resembles the native tobacco climate and, (why you should care) is that most folks (including me) find that sticks around there are optimal for smoking. At the end of the day, different people like it at different RH - some like it around 70, some like it 60 - figure out what works for you.

The beads just allow better RH regulation.

Keep the temp under 70 - over 75-80 degrees and you're looking at tobacco beetles hatching in your humidor. 70 is also the temp that closest resembles the native tobacco climate (caribbean).

    Good luck.

First off, learn how to quote someone if you're going to do so.

Second off, thanks for mentioning T&T - no I haven't been to those particular islands, but thank you for enlightening me on the temperature in the Caribbean. I would never had known it's that warm all the time (insert sarcasm).

Re: the 70, something I dug up just for you:

"As a product of the Caribbean, cigars do best in a tropical climate similar to the conditions under which they were created. The consensus is that storage is best achieved at a temperature of 70 degrees (F) and at 70 percent relative humidity."

    Thanks, please come again.
