The past week on a trip to Maine:
Padilla Fuma (older version-selection de Barato)
Casa Blanca Deluxe toro -natural/CT---mild and somewhat disappointing
Gurkha empire IV- need to buy & try another
Gurkha Titan II supertoro
Gurkha Vulcan toro--second try-more to come
Pinar Del Rio Capa Natural toro(54 ring?)- pretty good smoke
Weather was not good enough to smoke many more.
La Aurora 1495 corona
Yesterday- Gurkha Havana Blend Robusto
Today- Gurkha Sherpa toro
Aurora Escogidos Torpedo
Then some yard work.
Was a great smoke, thanks go Cabaiguan Juan.
Para Japon paired with a bottle of Strawman Farmhouse Hard Cider

A Conuco Toro for breakfast at 0500.
And a Gurkha Titan XO this afternoon.
Shoulda reversed the order. The Conuco was more full bodied than the Gurkha. By the name and look of the Gurkha, I thought it would be fairly full bodied, but it was actually pretty mild. Very enjoyable, though. Don't think I'll become a big fan of the 60 ring gauge.

Partagas Black Label Pronto. Good little smoke imo; very unique aroma and flavor.
Pinar Del Rio exclusivo reserva limitada toro. A strange smoke, it started out very mild with little or no flavor and burned very unevenly. About half way down a natural sweetness appeared along with more flavor, the burn evened out somewhat with 1/3 left and then it got milder again.
Then it tunneled out. Good enough so that I'll have to try another and hopefully this one was rolled by a novice. I've had a couple of the reserva limatada slection 10 and they were clearly better.
Marlboro light . I bummed 1 today and re affirmed my decision to quit cigs 12 or so years ago. It was fucking nasty and I got busted by one of the office women when I walked by her. I got a lecture and a shaming
The older I get ,the better I was
Something I read or said around the weekend got me thinking about 2 boxes of cigars I had deep in one of my tubadors. so I dug out a box and opened it for today's second smoke.
First cigar was a Padilla torpedo fuma (the newish ones) - it was my second and it was worst than the first-definite crap- 2 of 2 so far.
Second was the long ignored - Jose Marti La Trinidad Masaya Figurado (nicaragua) - Started out very mild then 1/2 inch in got a creamy sweetness that remained throughout the smoke, burned nicely and reminded me why I bought 3 boxes of them (they were also soon going to bundles). Only 49 left.![]()
Getting ready to have a Partagas Serie D No. 4 and a cup of coffee

Just run everything threw a spell checker.
A Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto with AM coffee.
La Vieja Habana Belicoso for lunch. These seem priced like a bundle cigar and I know they're DE, but this make two for me and I have really liked both. Am I regressing back toward Thompson's?
