I'm sure both are great phones. I'd just go with the one I liked the most. Can't see you going wrong with either.

I have and have used the Q for about 6 months now. It's a nice phone, great reception, I think the processor could be a bit faster but pretty uer friendly. The only downside I have with it is the fact that there is no stylus. So you have to get used to that.
The blackberry...well...that is another world. It uses it's own software has that "always" on connection to constantly check emails, messages and is the most secure smartphone out there.
I would say it depends if you are going with the full unlimited data plans or if you are going with a minimal use data plan.
I would play with both at a verizon store as much as possible. Interface I think is the deciding factor. Also the blackberries seem to be real picky about connecting to a PC sometimes. Moto Q's go through activesync just like the v50
they're comparable machines - you just need to play with them (in the store) for personal taste.
i had a treo, went to a blackberry for work, and am back on the treo. i like them both for completely different reasons, both work well. getting my renewal and i'm also looking at the Q. big difference is in size, although one thing about bbs that I don't like is that when you're browsing a website, the pages come out funky. the Q (and the treos) display the pages very organized.
there's a new bb out to compete with the q. check that out as well.
Look at that... I plumb got myself 5 raisins and 7 termites.
Well as luck would have it, I talked to my IT department (1 Guy) and he said that our system doesn't support blackberrys and doesn't have any plan on it in the future. So my decision is made. He also informed me to wait a couple weeks because they are having problems with the system, so instead of going and getting a new phone this weekend, I'll buy some cigars. Seems like a good choice to me.
