Well I'm sitting here at the hospital with my laptop (who knew hospitals had wifi) waiting on my dad. A nurse came out and said everything was going fine and he should be out of surgery in a couple of hours.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

GREAT to hear! It's a good thing bypasses are done routinely now days. Makes these surgeries alot safer.

My dad had a triple bypass back in late 2000/early 2001. Luckily before he had a heart attack. He's still with us today, seven years later, and he's going to his cardiologist. He's 70 and I keep crossing my fingers. Best of luck to your dad, and hang in there, it's a tough experience for him and you but you will get through it.

So my dad was up on his feet today, albeit only for about 30 seconds, but its a good sign. Doctors say it was a textbook opperation and he could be released as early as Sunday. According to my dad, the incision on his leg hurts more than his chest so i know he's back to normal.

Time to go smoke a good one.
