For full effect, the paintballs should be frozen... Even better - crank up the psi when they're frozen...

I know of a reporter in Salt Lake City, Utah took a hit to the hand with a frozen paintball during a public demonstration that got out of hand - and it had quite a devastating effect. (Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County and the Utah Highway Patrol use paintballs as a way of marking demonstrators for later arrest - and have paintballs filled with pepper juice - nasty stuff).

I used to play paintball damn near every weekend, and traded/went through some 30-40 guns in my prime. Are any of you guys on PBNation?

Always had better luck with the flat nosed pellets. After a few times we agreed to no more than two pumps of the gun though.

Still got a scar on my left hand from a BB. I dug it out myelf.

Sorry to hear about that Sarge. But hey, when I used to go visit my cousins in Joplin MO, we would spend the evenings having bottle rocket wars. Cheapass bottle rockets for like $1 a dozen. Half would blow up in your bottle and would scorch you. If you got hit, god forbid it was anywhere near your head, or else all you'd be hearing was ringing noises for the next few days.

I know it doesn't compare to getting smacked in the nose or the cajones with a paintball, but it was enough for me. I'm a lover, not a fighter.
