Theres no finish on the Brazilian cedar lining as I thought this hindered its humidity absorption properties.
The plans for finishing the outside have somewhat changed since I last posted them, the new plane is to have a very light colored veneer stain it a color ( blue most likely) and then polish it up to a nice shine.
I really wish I could work on it now, but as it is at school i can't.

Well just a quick update the lid is lined and it fits quite nicely, I am planning on fitting the hinges in the next few days, Im taking a while to plan this so I don't muck it up when i do it. I will add some more pictures when the hinges are on.

Looking good so far. What are the inside dimensions? And what do you plan to use to keep the humidity up?
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.
