I have had an off and on relationship with Gurkha. Some I love and some, not so much. The Nepalese Warrior is one of the best smokes Ive had. But, Ive had the Doble Maduro and hated it(it was so plugged it was completely unsmokable). Most the Gurkhas I have had have been fivers from Cbid so I'm not making my opinions from just one stick.
For example, as I write this I am enjoying the Gurkha Expidition and I'm burning my fingers on the nub I like it so much. I think overall it is an overhyped brand but you just have to narrow down which ones you like and don't like and stick with those.

Also I have a HUGE Ghengis Kahn in my box I've had for 8 months and waiting to try it, any one had one of these and can lend an opinion?

I pesonally like the Genkhis. Enough that I hoarded 24 in the bottom of my humidor. On top of all the ones I smoked. My local B&M can't get them any more so he upped the price to $15 on them. I could kick my ass for not out bidding someone on that chest of them C-bid had a few months back.

The Black Puros are pretty good but definately let them age out for a while and keep them at 65% humidity. Any higher and the seem to have burn issues - going out, bitter, and wrapper problems.

I also like the Nepalese Warrior, but I will not pay over fifty percent of retail for them and some of you guys bid them up a little too high for me. Right now JR has a special on the East India (really cool box they come in), I ordered two earlier tonight.

I am a pretty strong Gurkha fan. I love the Master Select, Fuerte, Royal Brigade, Shaggy, Expedition, Symphony, Gold, Signature 101, etc etc... almost everything I have tried. I am still working my way through their catalog, and have not yet tried *every* Gurkha.

Well, I have had several Gurkha Black Puros (bought one of those 12-packs and smoked almost all of them. I think I gavce away two or three) and I have to admit they are my least favorite Gurkha so far. I found the taste to be flat and unremarkable until the last third, in which it gets a nice coffee/chocolate sort of thing going. Pleasant, but not worth the price. I also have to agree that these draw horribly unless kept a little on the dry side. I would suggest even as low as 62% or so. I keep my humi at closer to 70%, so these sticks don't work for me unless I leave them out for several hours or even a whole day before smoking them.

Just had my 2nd one of these. Was a good cigar, nice flavor and burn. It had been resting for about 2 months or so. The first one I smoked only had about 1 week in my cooler and the draw was absolutely horrible.

Glad to see that these turn into nice smokes once they rest. I had taken the advice from you guys to let them rest, and Im glad I did!
    Yay! Cigars!

I got five of these from a buddy of mine. I found I had the same issues with the draw. But I did and do like these sticks. Very good smoke and they make a good yard-gar.

Resting is key for sticks. Especially if your trading and they are moving around from shop to friend then to you. It is always a good idea to let em rest for a few weeks before enjoying them. I always rotate my sticks when I put new ones in the humi.

I've had several Ghurka's and a good amount of them had a really hard draw on them. Despite this fact, I still like them. Ghurka's have a really distinct flavor that I like. I've had the G3, G5, Titan, Black Puro, Gold Churchill, Signature ’101’ Maduro Churchill, Symphony Churchill.

The Black Puro torpedo I smoked after having it for a couple of days in my humi and it smoked pretty well. Draw wasn't too bad and it burned even all the way down to the nub.
