Now that I'm back in beer-friendly territory, I can drink more beer now.

* denotes locally brewed. They currently don't distribute outside of Oregon, and only the S1NIST0R Black Ale comes in 22 oz. bottles. You Oregon guys should check these guys out - serious beer here.

10 Barrel Brewing Co* - S1NIST0R Black Ale

Had one of these last weekend. Very nice. It had the roastiness of a stout, but the viscosity of a pale ale, so it was flavorful and quaffable. Reminded me of the relatively new Black IPA or Cascadian Dark Ale style without the bitterness that I don't like so much.

Not sure if I've seen the Boneyard brand; I'll have to check 'em out.

Had one of these last weekend.

It's a great beer - it truly is. But the Armored Fist may very well be one of the best beers I've ever had. I'll need to try a few more to be sure. It's certainly up there. Boneyard is more of a nuts and bolts kind of operation. Try these places.

Colette Farmhouse Ale

How'd you like the Colette?

Odell's Levity - Meh
Avery Karma - Interesting but still kinda meh

Meh. It's a summer beer, so it's crisp and citrusy and just not my style while it's still snowing here.

New Belgium Brewing Co. - Trippel Belgian Style Ale - 7.8%, good flavor. Crisp and flavorful, but still full in body.

Kona Brewing Company - Koko Brown Ale - good flavor. Tastes like an even darker ale than it actually is.

Deschutes Brewery - Twilight Summer Ale - after a long first day on the mountain bike, this totally hit the spot.

Southern Tier IPA - tastes more like a Belgian ale. Full bodied yet crisp, hoppy but not too bitter, then a touch of sweetness that helps it go down too easily. This is a fabulously dangerous beer at 7.3%.

Hale's Ales Kolsch - okay. Expensive for what you get. Better than average light beers in this same vein, not enough to get me to buy again.
Name Tag Beer (at $2.99 a 6-pack, not bad at all. Not better, though, than my $4.99 per 12-pack Beast)
