Thread: Nice Humidor 4 Sale

  1. Default Nice Humidor 4 Sale

Hey gang, I quit smoking a year ago and now that I am conviced I won't start again it is time for my Humidor(s) and other things to go. I have a very nice 4 leg cabinet style humidor in a cherry finish that holds about 600 cigars and two small desk top humidors, 2 zicar cutters, various other cheap cutters, cigar oasis humidifier and on top of all that I will give away all the cigars "free" as I am not allowed to sell tobacco products. I have an assortment of CAO's, some Oliva's, Roly's Etc. Really too many to list. If anyone is interested you can e-mail me at retnavyencm@hughes.net for more info, pictures etc.

    Mike

    mike yguaps,
we only buy vintage underwear and postage stamps that are no longer produced.....and ufortunately for you, we have a preferred vendor already that has an incredible e-bay feedback rating.

zicar, is that a new brand of cutter? how does xikar feel about the near copyright infringement on that name... what do you suppose that 'X' stands for on the blades of your zicar kutturs?

how bout you post a pic and price here, then be a member for more than a week, and then not have your first post be an absurdly large sale that you could easily be ripping people off with. I'd sooner buy that piece of shit ashtray... at least it comes with false rarity and a brand name that means nothing to anyone.

How about a price? We usually do things like this out in the open. Having to email you for a price seems kinda shady. We usually run guys off that show up on here just to sell things. Looking at your email address, it appears you are retired Navy.

Post some prices and pics sailor, and you may find yourself a buyer.

    Mike,

First it isn't consider proper to start off on a cigar board trying to sell something with your first few post. Second you should list details better and prices. Also your location would be helpful. Just a state so any that are interested and located near you could come and see the large humidor. You could post the pictures here too.

Now the others are going to bust your balls. Depending how you handle yourself we'll see if anyone even contacts you.

  10. Default My apologies

Guys, let me apologize for breaking the unknown rules on here. I did not mean to make anyone angry over my posting something for sale as my first post. In my post it tells you that I quit smoking so participating in any of the other cigar posts on here seemed kind of pointless to me. Anyway I didn't post pictures because I am not very computer savvy. I didn't post prices because I really don't know what the stuff is worth used and I was kind of hoping to get a few e-mails with questions and requests for photos etc. I live in South West Virginia, probably two hours from Richmond. My son is helping me post pics this time. hopefully someone out there will be interested in this for a fair price and not just discount it because I broke etiquette on your site. again I apologize and didn't mean to upset anyone. Hopefully the pics post correctly. if anyone is still interested you can e-mail me at retnavyencm@hughes.net for answers to any specific questions, phone number etc. As far as the Xicar cutters go I mispelled that and I have no idea what the X stands for. almost forgot I would really like to sell the whole mess instead of pieces here and there.

Better info. Thanks. One thing is missing. Price please? If you do not name your price, folks around here are going to initiate our bidding system. That can be brutal.

My wife bought it for me when I out grew my two desk top humidors. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. I have received many compliments from my cigar smoking buddies on it. I think it is generally when they are trying to get a Oliva or something out of it!!

Don't worry man, you didn't piss anyone off. We just like bustin balls a little. It weeds out the panty-waists. I think you may get more bang for your buck if you're willing to break it up into several packages. I know you don't want to give too much of a discount but if you sell the whole lot togethor, you'll have to discount it quite a bit. Get a pretty close inventory of what you have and try to come up with a fair price(not trying to profit). We know what the stuff is worth and will give you an honest opinion if you need advice.

Damn, that looks nice. If I hadn't just bought a new humidor I would look into this one.
    The cigars aren't bad either.

xikar, the X stands for xikar; just trying to point out how completely you misspelled it. And i didn't mean to jump your shit, just assumed the worst after reading the posts from ole lordpuffer. Looks like nice stuff.

    Mike,

Very nice way you handle yourself. Goes a long way here. Start listing cigars and the amount you have of them. If your not very good at searching the intranet for prices I'm sure someone would be happy to help and then maybe even make an offer. On rare hard to get cigars you can get MSRP some times. But on common things expect to get at least 20% under MSRP.

Also since your new don't be surprised if some members here request that you send your end first. It's the way things are done when trading or buying from newbies. Trust and reputation is earned by your actions here and in other spots of the community That takes time.

  19. Default Many Thanks Gang

Thanks guys, I will work on a complete cigar list today (partial list below) and try and get it posted ASAP. I will also go into more detail if possible on other things in the humidor. I really appreciatte the feed back. Just a rough guess here but I think the whole mess is worth somewhere around 1K. I know I'll never get that so with that done and over with I will take any reasonable offer including shipping. if anyone wants more info than I have provided so far e-mail me for a phone number or send yours and I will call you. I really do not want to break up the whole mess for sale in smaller lots but I suppose I could so long as the humidor was the last thing to be shipped.
