Maybe in the case of the margaritas; but I would only shoot straight - no chaser, no lime, no salt, no nothing. Maybe a drink of water.

I've had a few, um, officers of the law recommend that I no longer partake of this agave-based spirit.

But I digress. Perhaps if I would stop drinking the tequila that you could also use as gasoline, I wouldn't have had such a bad experience. I've grown a bit since - maybe I should give it another try.

I love a drink + cigar. If I'm driving later, I'll have an iced coffee (thanks to Ausfailia's provisional driving laws I have to be absolutely 0.00%), if not, I'll have a rum and coke please barman. Make it a cold one.

Usually it's coffee or Dogfish beer for me - but the other day I was driving and I picked up a lipton iced tea. It really complimented the La Corona like nothing I've tried before. Just a weird thing different drinks bringing out different cigars. Made the experience really good.

I bought a box of Padron Serie 1926 80th's for when I come home on leave. Since I haven't had a drop of alcohol in 11 months due to working in Iraq, I was curious as to what would go well with it.

    Any recommendations?

I'd recommend your favorite beverage. I would think you would want your time go e to be as pleasant as possible. Don't ruin it with a drink you might not enjoy.

X 2. If you are a Scotch drinker, I would suggest Balvenie double wood as a good partner for this stick.

I like a nice, strong cup of french press coffee, with some heavy whipping cream. That's what I'd drink with one of those.
