... after doing a bit more reading, I think you have saved CS from certain doom by terminating this agreement. There is NO WAY whatever was planned for the conglomerate of these websites would benefit the membership.

I feel almost sorry for the other forums still caught up in this.

I've held back on an opinion on this until I saw something to base one on. I think I've seen enough out there today. I agree. I don't know what the particulars are on the termination of the sale, but from what I've seen it's good that it turned out the way it did.

and a couple of review sites.

They are both censoring remarks about the sale. This Jon guy sounds like a real winner.

I peeked into cigarlive... (I'm a member with ZERO posts), they, (jon and "stogie), are slamming Rod from cigarpass for not accepting the offer of purchase.

Saved the community, imho. There is a shit-load of reading to do now......true characters are finally being revealed to everyone and some eyes are being opened at cigarliveville. Can't say I feel sorry for anyone at that place.

Call me cold, but it was plain to see lopez was a greedy bastid out for profit.....was pointed out by some.....and what happened to them when they did was finally brought out into the light for all to see. You know what I speak of Mark....the p/w scrambling, etc......

After that, if a person stayed there and participated, invested in that crap, they get whatever they get.

The sheep on garlive sound appalled that Danny would be in it for profit. They are realizing what has been said since the inception of CL. Too bad I was banned within 9 minutes of registering and couldn't view anymore.

One thing I would like to ask of the community is to try to keep things civil here regarding this matter. In no way, shape or form do I want this to become a slamming ground towards Jon or others involved in his business transactions. Like I mentioned in the announcement, we decided to amend our contract on a good terms, and I would like to keep it that way.
