You must not smoke much then mate.

I've often wondered why there are people who use the word 'mate' when they get confrontational. It seems to be their method of demeaning the person that they are talking to. Why not just say "I'm better than you"? It's more to the point.

Then there are those people who use "ciao"... they should just say "bye, oh and I'm better than you."
