During one of my many telephone conversations with Sid, he told me he and UpStateMike started CigarRebellion when the people who run Herfer's Paradise went overboard with moderation, deleting posts, locking threads, etc. so they figured they's start a cigar board where there would be none of that crap.

Sid and I became acquainted with one another on the Island of the Misfit toys because larrynj was posting there and acting like the true asshole that he is and has always been. Sid then invited me to CigarRebellion which I thought was great because we had common ground in our dislike for larrynj.

Please correct me if I'm wrong Sid but that was my recollection of our conversations.

You're leaving some parts out, Bill. There was the issue with Sid at Herfer's Paradise where he was fighting with the site owner (ZeroZed) and was banned. Well - let's just say - Sid got his wings clipped. Of course, Sid signed up as another person and continued to post...

I gotta say - it's really going to be difficult to reserect any posts at Herfer's Paradise which illustrate what happened. They have been deleted (one of the reasons I'm not really fond of posts being deleted or modified - you can't go back and see the history of a person). But clearly neither Sid nor Barry are posting at Herfer's Paradise or Cigar Rebellion any more - certainly not since April when they made this their NEW home board...

I sincerely hoped those two would have learned from previous mistakes and wanted to live ina community where others respect their cigar knowledge, and not believe this was an election for them to be leader. AGAIN... But, apparently not...
