College is making me tired...

Well, ceramics and big honking cigar ash trays may not be in the cards for me. That class requires lab/shop time during restricted hours to do your homework. I don't think I'll subject my wife to yet another night alone every week. I think I'm stuck with classes that allow homework you can take home.

Kenyth, try checking out your course catalogue, and run a degree audit for yourself online (if your school has that, if not you can get them at your advisor's office), because i know sometime a fine arts credit will allow you to take an industrial art class to meet that requirement. I think it's usually like intro to AutoCADD or even or something along those line. That would be better than some stupid poetry class nonsense.

Introduction to Fine Arts
Perspective in Fine Arts
Ceramics
Music (This one seems to be offered less frequently)
Introduction to Drawing (Offered very rarely. Only heard of it, never seen it in the course catalog. I'd take it in an instant. I can draw a bit.)

Yeah that sux man, good luck though. Hopefully you can get into that music class, i took one my freshman year for my fine art credit and enjoyed it for the most part. hopefully you have to take the perspective in fine arts class, that one just doesn't sound like it could possibly be interesting. Keep at it though!

I have a 15 hour schedule right now, but i usually only spend about 9 hours in class during any given week, 3 of which are ROTC class hours that I'm required to attend. Then for homework, i'll spend roughly 1.5 hours per week. unless I have tests, in which case add an extra hour to study for that.

I got three hours of sleep last night because this week is apparently when everyone doubles the homework assignments. I had almost ten chapters to read from multiple books, six pages of typed journal pages, and a couple worksheets to type up. I have an eight page paper due in two weeks, plus what ever other insanity my theology class assigns in that time period. That still leaves me with my harshest taskmistress (my wife), who I think is getting frustrated with my general absence from family activities and projects.

Things are moving along nicely. I had a little break from heavy homework with a Fine Arts class. Lots of class work, but no tests and no homework except for two projects. One was easy because I had a great partner. The other was a bit of a bear because my randomly assigned "partner" disappeared until 9 PM the evening before the project was due. I did the whole thing, as I'm certain she expected. Granted, I expected I would be doing most of it after I first met her, but a little help of some sort would have been nice.
My wife is fast losing her patience. Since I'm getting straight A's, I think she's pushing my envelope a bit. My time for homework and study is getting tighter and tighter. I got my first A- in Managerial Finance. All A's up until that point. I think I'll live. One little thing to think about though. I didn't do the extra credit problem on the Finance project because I was too tired (It was 2AM). The problem was pretty easy, but only worth a couple of points. After calculating things out, doing that problem would have brought me up to an A.

A little lesson learned in life. Perserverance is the difference between good and excellent.
