So here it is:

I have an Oasis XL for my humidor (that I just posed in another thread)
I notice that thing running an awful lot. I charged it with water, and upon plugging it back in, it runs and runs and runs.

I went to the website, and it said that maybe water was blocking the pickup holes, so I went over that to make sure it was ok.

Also, the digital readout seems to just scroll through numbers erratically. A day later, its not doing that.

If I open the door, and hit the view button, it says about 71.2
I close the door, and I hear the thing running every 5 mintues

Is all of this normal?

Thanks,
Will
Is this the 1000 count glass cabinet? If so, then two things:
1. double-check how your door seal is working;
2. move the unit more towards the center - you're blocking one side of the fan holes with the unit in the corner.

I suspect that once the unit is not against a wall, then it will stop feeding back on itself and become less erratic.

Having a unit run for quite a long while after opening/closing such a large door is normal in the dry season (winter). Do you know what the ambient (room) RH is?
