    Smile What's for supper?

Hi everyone, ever struggle to figure out what to have for supper? Need an idea? I thought It would be fun to start a thread on what everyone plans to have for supper. See if we can keep it going for those who may be searching or stuck on what to have. I am a bit of a foodie (go figure on that one... considering my size) so I thought it would be fascinating to see what people eat. To keep this in line with cigars too, will you smoke with supper or right after, and what is your smoke to go with the food or after? Thought this would be fun. Roger.

I usually don't smoke while I eat but...

tonight I am making "Pad Thai Pric" A combination of green beans (whole), chicken breast strips, hot peppers, mushrooms, and coconut milk with crushed peanuts. Serve that over rice. One of my favorites.

Enjoying a tabac classic before supper. Look for are review soon

The other night I made Parmesan Pork Chops and mashed potatoes. The pork chops were extremely easy to make and were surprisingly very, very good.

To make them, simply coat the pork chops in grated parmesan cheese, dip in an egg batter, then coat in italian bread crumbs. Pan fry each side until golden brown (you can then stick them in the oven if you feel they haven't cooked the whole way through). I got this recipe from foodnetwork.com, one of Giada's I think.

I then made garlic parmesan mashed potatoes to go with the pork chops. Not bad for an easy meal.

Tonight I think my roommate is making some kind of chicken recipe in the crock pot.

I remember having a cigar right after the pork chops. They were so satiating. I don't normally smoke cigars right after I eat but I just had to that night.

I did the Blazin' Challenge at BW3s for dinner.

12 of their spiciest wings in 4:58, no drink or napkins allowed.

Was intense and definately fun, today not so much fun.

lol I know that feeling. I find that if I drink a lot of fluid the same night as the hot stuff, I don't suffer any ill effects the following day.

1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce - 1 bottle of Lawry's Caribbean Jerk Marinade in the crock pot. Add 2 pork tenderloins. Slow cook for 12-16 hours. Pull the tenderloins from the sauce (the meat just falls apart pulled pork style). I use two forks to separate out the meat into shredded style. Mix in several decent sized spoonfuls of the sauce - serve over rice or in a soft taco shell (with some shredded lettuce and tomatoes) or on a bun...

...and the leftovers are even better than when it first comes out!

Nope. I still live at home. I just simply sit down, eat my food, and make sure to tell my mom and grandmother it was delicious.

    Good idea for a thread-

We usually eat lighter meals in the summer time - it's too hot to eat a big meal every night.

Last night it was: baked boneless chicken with white pepper and rosemary, stuffed grape leaves over mixed salad greens and diced onions, with a light olive oil drizzled over top.
We were drinking 'le Grand Noir' - a French Cabernet/Shiraz (60/40) 2006 vintage. It was our second night on this bottle (opened the previous evening). Found @ CostPlus World Market for around $10. Much better the second night than the first.

Tonight I am having homemade Lamb Stew with Fresh baked biscuits.

It has 2# Lamb stew meat.
    1 1/2 cups of carrots.
1 large sweet onion diced medium
    2 Cups of corn.
    3 Cups of water.
    8 oz. Package Mushrooms sliced.
    Pepper and salt to taste.
    1/2 cup of Merlot wine.
2 Cups of 1/2 inch diced potatoes.
    1/2 C. Flour
    Season Salt.
    2 T. Oil.

Cook the onions on medium heat in 1 tbsp of oil until they start to caramelize. Add the mushrooms and cook for 3 minuets. Add 1/3 of the water and cook for 1 more minuet. Put into crock pot.

Add other veggies to crock pot too.

Sprinkle lamb generously with season salt and the flour. Mix together. Cook with remaining oil 1 tbsp. Make the lamb so that it is brown. Add 1 cup of water and work the flour that is crusted in the pan so that it is dissolved. Add to crock pot.

Add the Merlot and remaining water to the mix in the crock pot. Give it a good stir to combine ingredients evenly. Set crock pot for Low. Cover and cook. for 7-8 hours.

    YUM YUM YUM!
Just another day at the office!

Deer steaks last night and just finished a big, late breakfast. Must be time for 18 holes and something good to smoke.
