I think an Acid cigar would be a fine choice. I know many of this forum have spoken fondly of them. I think you could place them in your freezer and it won't alter their taste at all.

A Swisher Sweet will last through a nuclear blast, and never need hydration to maintain original flavor!

LMAO!
Who's this Victor guy? He's funny.
casual, get a small cooler, some humidification beads and an inexpensive hygrometer, buy a box of Cohibas and put 'em away for 18 years. You'll have to do your best to make sure you get REAL cigars and not fake ones. Yes, Cuban cigars are legal down under but that doesn't stop the scammers.
Check the hygrometer every once in a while (how often depends on how humid or dry your part of Australia is) and add water to the beads as necessary.

TBSCigars - "On Holiday"
Grammar - It's the difference between knowing your crap and knowing you're crap.
I'll have to admit I'm actually doing this too.
Difference is I smoke cigars already so it's just 3 cigars taking up a little space in the coolidor for the next 16 years.
I picked up a box of AF "It's a girl" cigars when my daughter was born just over two years ago. I smoked a few, gave more away and am saving the last 3 for my daughter's 18th birthday to smoke with her and my wife.
I don't think I'd recommend doing it unless you already smoked cigars, although the suggestions that CC and Shelby have made it awfully temping (I'm sure I could find a box of Sept/07 Cohiba's somewhere to age).
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.
I think a glass tubed cigar with a heavy wax seal might work if it was kept in a dark temperature stable enviroment. By no means am I an authority and you should rely on the knowledge of the senior forum members. I've only been smoking good cigars for a couple of months & I constantly struggle with my coolidors.
