Thread: Hey Im new.

  1. Default Hey Im new.

Hey guys Im new here. Im 18, and have never even puffed a single cigar. Im traveling to cancun mexico in march and was going to bring a few cigars back. I dont have a humidor but i plan on getting a humi pouch or something to preserve them for a while. I dont want to spend a ton because who knows if I will even like them. Are they addictive? I have smoke marijuana before but not to much. Anyways any tips for a first cigar or anything would be great. Also any ideas to smuggle cigars in would be appreciated also. thanks for you help.

Best way to smuggle them in is rectally. See if you can find some broken glass or nails to shove up there as well to throw them off.

Forget the cigars...Just smuggle back the marijuana.
    Use Evilles method.

Welcome to the board. Part of what makes all of this kind of comical for some of us is this is a cigar smokers forum, and we'd love to help you choose some good cigars, but I don't think any of us here are going to condone smuggling, especially given the fact that certain members of this community are members of law enforcement! I also have a friend who is an ex-con, and believe me, I don't think you want to try and smuggle anything that's 6.6"x60 ring gauge in your bunger. If you do, well, let me know how that works out for you.

So if you'd like to talk smokes, we'll talk smokes. Wanna talk smuggling? Go read Snowblind, consider what a couple months in a local jail down in Mexico might be like, and try and talk yourself out of smuggling anything back.

Smuggling? This is where the age old question cellophane off or cellophane on could be answered easily. By the way are you related to swims with fishes?

Ok what is or are some good beginner smokes I will find in Mexico? What should I do about bringing some LEGAL smokes back since I don't have a humidor?

Find some Padron 'thousand series. Those are good in both natural wrapper, and maduro. For a lighter beginner smoke, try 5 Vegas gold, or some of the lower end Arturo Fuente.

Any of these should be easy to find in Mexico.

    Avoid Te-amo.

    1. I'm
    2. Cancun and Mexico should be capitalized.
    3. Try changing "was going to bring" to "am planning on bringing".
    4. Don't
    5. The "spend a ton because.." sentence sucks. Re-word that completely.
    6. "I have smoked"
    7. Comma after before
    8. too much
    9. Starting a sentence with "Anyways" is what 14 year old girls do.
    10. Comma after Also
    11. Delete the second use of "also"
    12. Capitalize "Thanks"

    14. Comma after OK.
    15. OK is spelled OK, not Ok.
    16. "what is or are some" is horrible. Change that to "what are some".
    17. "smokes that I will find" sounds better to me.
    18. You probably should change "will find" to "could find".

    Carry on.

Smoke a few down there and bring back some of the ones you like. Just about any US-legal cigar will be just as easy to find back home though.

Just an assumption, but.... Have a fun spring break, but on't get so drunk you end up bringing home a box of stogie-shaped turds because you thought they tasted good at the time.
    Latest smokes:
    Cigar: 5/19: Nub Connecticut 464T
    Pipe: 3/16: G.L. Pease~Charing Cross

Forget smuggling cigars in, I just smugled an actual Cuban in, I keep him locked in a steamer trunk in my basement, whenever I get the urge I just get him to hand roll me a few sticks, way easier that way.

Buy a shotgun with an extended tube magazine and put the cigars in the magazine and the barrel. The metal will block the x-ray.

No worries, you can put it in your carry on luggage in Mexico.
